This is a story about a youg girl's determination to never give up and it shows us that love is a strong motivation. When she was seven, Camila's grandfather, Felix, had to leave San Antonio and go back to Veracruz, Mexico. Two years later, she misses him so much that she starts out on her bike to go see him. When it turns out that she can't go all the way from Texas to Veracruz, they start writing letters to each other. The letters help ease the pain and when she becomes a young woman, she finally gets to go to Veracruz and see her grandfather again. They have a great reunion and the lesson is that love has the power to heal.
